Quakerism was established in Ireland in the 17th century by William Edmundson who settled in Mountmellick with other Friends. To celebrate this, a week of events will take place in Mountmellick from July 20th to 26th. Events are open to all and include Meeting for Worship in the former Meeting House on Sunday 26th July at 11.30, followed by a picnic and visit to Rosenallis Burial Ground.
